BATTLE THE WHIMP FACTOR

"Armed and Dangerous"

Are you tired of being faced with the same trial?  Are you tired of being up today and down tomorrow?  Are you tired of the devil?  The saints of God are armed and dangerous.  We are walking bombs.

Jesus said in Luke 10:19 "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy:  and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (KJV)

We are not given this power to sit on it.  This power was given to us to use as a weapon to do the work of the Lord; to walk in faith and victory.  This power is the Holy Ghost.  A gift from God.

Since we are soldiers in the army of the Lord, we must be in uniform.  Our uniform should be worn at all times.  Our uniform consist of:  (Ephesians 6:10-20) KJV

  • girded loins with truth
  • breastplate of righteousness
  • Shodded feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace.
  • Shield of faith
  • helmet of salvation
  • sword of the Spirit--the word of God

We must also be watchful unto prayer, because prayer is a weapon.  "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ, and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled."  (2 Cor. 10:4-6) KJV

When we put on our armor we are like the tank of a vehicle, we fill up with the word and launch our prayers toward heaven.  Satan tried to exalt himself against the knowledge of God and was cast out of heaven.  Now Satan come to us with thoughts.  We have the power to bring those thoughts into captivity by speaking the word, which is the obedience of Christ.  The word is all the devil understands and responds to.  We cannot exalt ourselves, we must exalt the word.  "Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7) KJV

A soldier in the natural army has to be trained. While in basic training his senses are exercised to be able to discern the enemy from the ally; how to fight the enemy, and how to handle the weapons.  When the soldier is placed on the battlefield, he'd better know how to fight the enemy.  Otherwise, he will be killed or wounded.

It is time out for being an atomic bomb at church and then transforming into a whimpy cap pistol or a BB gun when we go home, to the job, or where ever we happen to be at the time of attack.  We have to endure to the end.

Yes, the battle is the Lord's; he is our rearward (Is.52:12); he will go before us.  Are you ready to fire:  Are you ready to be fired upon?  "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same affliction are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory of Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.  To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.  A-men." (1 Pet. 5:8-11) KJV

BATTLE THE WHIMP FACTOR.  WE ARE ARMED AND DANGEROUS.
